Ridstar One Year Limited Warranty and Replacement Procedure and Liability Policy
All Ridstar bicycles are covered by our manufacturer's 1-year all-inclusive warranty for the owner against all manufacturing defects.
Warranty Period and Target Audience Terms
Warranty will be automatically registered when the initial purchaser orders in the online store. Therefore, the warranty belongs to the initial purchaser and the 1-year warranty period will start from the time the initial owner receives the product. As for warranty transfer, the electric bicycle transferee must meet both of the following conditions to be covered by the warranty: The 1-year package has not expired since the initial owner received the package.
You have the name of the initial owner and the initial order number.
Warranty Process
All Ridstar bicycles are covered by our one (1) year warranty from the date of receipt, covering manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship (excluding all free accessories).
Ridstar will help you replace any parts that are defective in materials and/or workmanship or damaged (including damage during shipping).
Ridstar has the right to determine at its sole discretion whether the damage or defect of the electric bicycle or the warranty part is covered by this limited warranty.
Warranty Claims
If you believe there is a warranty issue with your Ridstar, your first point of contact should be the official website or online retailer where you purchased the bike. Any warranty request requires proof of purchase and photos or videos of the damaged product. Before making a warranty claim, we recommend that you contact us at service@ridstar-bikes.com as we can provide an appropriate solution to your issue. Valid warranty claims will be processed through Rdstar and are valid for 1 year from the date of original retail purchase.
Rdstar will not ship any parts to customers without inspecting photos or videos of the damaged product. Customers are required to provide us with proof via email.
Shipping Damage Claims
In rare cases, products can be damaged during shipping. If shipping damage occurs, please contact service@ridstar-bikes.com and provide photos or videos.
All free accessories will not be replaced or compensated if scratched during shipping.
NOTE: We only accept shipping damage claims within seven (7) days of receiving your e-bike.
Coverage
Frames
Rdstar e-bike frames are covered by a one-year warranty from the date of original retail purchase. Defective frames may be replaced with new frames, but labor costs for frame replacement are not covered under warranty.
Rdstar reserves the right to use scratched and dented stock products when replacing frames under the terms of this warranty. Rdstar may replace defective frames with the same or closest frame at its sole discretion.
Frame issues not covered under this warranty include, but are not limited to:
Corrosion
Paint fading, scratches, impact marks
Impact damage
Irreversible modifications (drilling/welding)
Chain guard will be installed to the frame if applicable
Battery
Rdstar batteries have a 1-year limited warranty.
During the 1-year service period – defective batteries will be repaired or replaced at no charge to the customer. The warranty period of the repaired or replaced battery will remain unchanged based on the original purchase date.
No cash compensation will be provided.
Defective batteries will be evaluated by Rdstar at its sole discretion.
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
1. Defects or damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing or other similar activities inconsistent with the product's intended use), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquids, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect or abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress;
2. Scratches, dents and cosmetic damage unless caused by Rdstar;
3. The serial number or barcode of the product is removed, defaced, damaged, altered or becomes illegible;
4. Normal wear and tear;
5. Damage caused by the use of non-Rdstar products Defects or damage to the product caused by accessories, products or auxiliary/peripheral equipment not provided or approved by the manufacturer;
6. Defects or damage caused by assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair or adjustment inconsistent with the assembly instructions and user manual;
7. Defects or damage caused by external causes, such as collision, fire, flood, storm, lightning strike, earthquake, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuse or improper use of any power source;
8. Products used or purchased outside the United States/Canada;
In addition, for batteries, this limited warranty does not cover the following defects or damage:
9.1 caused by charging with a battery charger not designed or suitable for the battery or improper use of the battery charger;
9.2 Any seal on the battery is broken or shows signs of tampering;
9.3 Batteries used for other equipment (not bicycles);
Parts
Rdstar original parts and components have a 1-year limited warranty. Man-made damaged parts are not covered by the warranty.
The owner of the bicycle will be responsible for the shipping costs of the warranty spare parts.
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
1. Damage caused by normal wear and tear (not due to defects in workmanship or materials) is not covered. Wear and tear will be assessed by JASION. Non-warranty parts include, but are not limited to:
1.1 Brake Pads
1.2 Rotors
1.3 Spokes
1.4 Tires/Tubes
1.5 Chains
1.6 Chainrings
1.7 Cassettes
1.8 Cranksets
1.9 Corrosion of electrical components is not covered.
1.10 Damage or deterioration in the finish, appearance or aesthetics of the product.
1.11 The Limited Warranty is expressly limited to replacement of defective (in materials and/or workmanship) handlebars, seatposts, saddles, brakes, lights, cranksets, pedals, rims, flywheels, cassettes, derailleurs, shifters, wiring harnesses, brackets, reflectors and hardware.
Labor costs for replacement parts.
1. Defects or damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing or other similar activities inconsistent with the intended use of the product), improper storage, improper exposure to liquids, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect or abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress.
2. Scratches, dents and cosmetic damage not caused by Rdstar.
3. The serial number or barcode of the product is removed, defaced, damaged, altered or illegible.
4. Defects or damage to the product caused by the use of accessories, products or auxiliary/peripheral equipment not provided or approved by Rdstar.
5. Defects or damage caused by improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair or adjustment as specified in the assembly instructions and user manual.
6. Defects or damage caused by external causes, such as collision, fire, flood, storm, lightning strike, earthquake, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuses or any improper use of electricity.
7. Products used or purchased outside the United States/Canada.
